Our morals and ethical beliefs are something that to most people are taken very seriously and in a lot of individual 's lives they are seen as guidelines to live by. Ask yourself what the world would potentially be like without our morals and ethical values. From a personal understanding of morals and ethics, I believe that the world would soon become a disastrous place. There would be nothing to live by and no right or wrong decisions; also the world would see much more crime and dangerous activity. Think about medicine, and how patients would be treated and the procedures that could be created without ethical and moral background.
Author goes in seriousness with the subject of ethics. In the Earliest Near East, the non-biblical worldviews held two sets of ethics. One set deals with how people act together with each other. The other set of ethics dealt with how people acted upon the gods. For the Bible, moral behavior was defined by God alone and, therefore, not subject to the urges of public change.
Humans are not born with the idea of looking out for the welfare of others, we naturally want to satisfy ourselves. Respect and rules are important, in running an orderly society. Many leaders will demand respect, earning respect far succeeds that of demanding, in ruling a society. Morals give us a sense of right and wrong. One Historian, Ramon Adams explained it best through his 1969 book: The Cowman and His Code of Ethics. Individuals in the West took pride in upholding their unwritten laws. People would break other laws of the territory, state and federal government but never on the codes.

My code of ethics share commonalities with that of Verizon, and Colgate-Palmolive. These Organizations, including mine, emphases clarity, and healthy and active relationships with stakeholders, and the company as prescribes by Johnson (2013). According to Magloff (n.d.), Verizon code of ethics specifies guidelines on fairness and integrity, safeguard company information, keeping accurate records, and conflict resolutions. I also found Colgate-Palmolive code, shared by Magloff (n.d.) is center on building relationships with subordinates, management team, company, customers, communities, government and the law. All professions follow a code of ethics. A code of ethics provides legal and ethical guidance to members of a profession. The field of ethics describes how we must treat each other, how we must act, what we must do and why. As professionals, we identify ethical issues that tend to arise within our chosen profession. To consider ethical issues, we need some level of guidance, which is the code of ethics.
There are many ethics that need to be taken into account for archaeologists. They have to be responsible for their own choices. Although there have been professional organizations set up for example World Archaeological Congress (WAC), First Code of Ethics, the Register of Professional Archaeologists, the society for American Archaeology (SAA), Code of ethics, Code of Professional standards, Code of conduct and standards of research performance, Principles of Archaeological Ethics and European Association of Archaeology. There is also the institute of field archaeologists in Britain that have also put forward a code of ethics. So why is I so important for archaeologists to have a code of ethics, it could be because it is a better way of solving conflicts of cultural values.
My Personal Code of Ethics as an Education Leader As an educator, and conceivable future educational leader, my personal code of ethics is one that envelops uprightness, correspondence, respect, imparted objectives, sympathy, open-mindedness, and confidentiality. A leader recognizes what is correct and utilizes it to make the best decision paying little mind to personal danger. Ethics can be explained as principles a society develops to guide decisions about what is right and wrong. Ethical principles that society has are influenced by religion, history, and experience of the people in the group. Meaning that ethics is based on guidelines we have learned while growing up, that helps us differentiates what is right and what is wrong. For example, some people think health care should be a human right as others think it should only be available to those who can pay for it. As children, we were taught by our parents that it is wrong to lie, cheat, and steal. As we grow up and enter into the real world with some knowledge of right and wrong, we see, first hand, the importance of ethics as well as its complexity. The role of ethics in our society and in an individual’s life is very necessary because it has a large influence on today, as well as the future. We need to learn about good ethics because they guide our decisions, make us who we are, and determine our future.
