The Intelligence Cycle
To overcome on how America was looking as an easy and accessible target, Patrick Duecy in the year of 2006 recommended that those involve to relay heavly on the Intelligence cycle. The intelligence cycle decide the daily activities of the Intelligence Community. There are several variations of the Intelligence cycle used in the government. The variations can range from 4 steps, 5 steps, or even 6 steps. The intelligence cycle is used in emergency management to help prevent or stop terrorism. The cycle provides for the framework, platforms, and systems to enable the Director of National Intelligence to lead an integrated and resilient IC (Intelligence Cycle) enterprise capable of sustaining the “intelligence cycle” under any crisis or consequence management event, both at the headquarters or locaated at other alternate operating locations. Throughout the course of this step they are doing integrating, evaluating, analyzing, and preparing the processed information to be involved in the finished product. In this step it converts the raw data into relevant materials, separating information from intelligence. In order to analysis and complete the production step the person must be highly trained and a specialized personnel to even work on cases. The people who typically do these types of analyzations are from the CIA(Central Intelligence Agency), DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency), and the State Department of Bureau's of Investigations of Intelligence and Research. The analysis and production step also requires, analysts give meaning to the processed information and to prioritize it against known requirements.
