Look at the school website from the perspective of a parent and answer the following two questions:

What general information is contained on the school website that would be helpful for parents? Describe the information provided for parents. Is there a separate link for parents to go to for this information or is contained in multiple places throughout the website?

The school website is an important place for parents. As teachers, we are required to show parents how to easily access the information contained there and refer them to the school website often. On the main page of the school website parents can find:
• School hours
• Calendar of important dates including: performances, game location and start times, progress report and report card deadlines, etc.
• School news

Most policies and forms are written in both English and Spanish.
• About Us o This page provides parents with a way to get to know the school better. Links are provided to pages with information regarding the administrative team, the school’s namesake, demographics, school ratings, community and student engagement ratings, attendance boundary map and residential code.
• District Links o This link provides a quick and easy way to access the district website.
• Schools o This link provides access to a listing of the other campuses in the district and their websites.
