What did the United States lose in the Vietnam War?
The Vietnam War wasn’t actually a war it was a police action or that is what the government told the citizens back in the United States.If your ask any of the soldiers that went over there they will tell you different, they soldiers did not want to be there for the friend that they lost and for what their leaving at home and it damaged the image and the integrity of the United States. The resources that was lost during that was outstanding and all of the Military vehicles that was either lost or destroyed in combat was up in the thousands.

168 billion dollars, that was what the United States spent on the Vietnam War that was the total cost of it. The 168 billion dollars was broken up into many areas of the war the military operations alone took up 111 billion dollars of that budget. The military operations did not only mean just the equipment but also the food and water for the men, the bases and also the men themselves. Unlike the soldiers of WWII the Soldiers from Vietnam did not get there welcome home parties or their big parades. The people of America did not want anything to do with the soldiers coming home from Vietnam.They called the baby killers and murders and not only was words thrown at them in hat but there was also eggs. Not only was the soldiers harassed and and abuse by the anti-war protesters but they had a really hard time trying to get used to civilian life. The government did a survey to see how many people that was posted to Vietnam that over 15 percent of them came back with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. They were not able to function like if they heard a loud noise or sudden moves would make them start to have flash back and cause harm to people around them. That is parts of their lives that they can never get
