Why going to a Single Gender school is better than coed? Did you know if girls attend the same gender school it will improve school work? Also nearly 100% of girls school graduates end up going to college. In a single gender school, a girl can become anything she wants with out being judged for it. Lastly, a girl can become more comfortable in making choices for herself. It is an issue in society because in co ed schools, girls have to focus more on their appearance and how they present themselves rather than focusing on schoolwork. Furthermore, girls who attend the same gender school outscored co Ed schools on the SAT of an average of 28 to 43 points. Girls felt that they were more prepared for college writing assignments than coed. Attending an all girls school gives them an opportunity to thrive to be something they always wanted to be. Moreover, going to a single gender school will promote leadership. 93% of girl school graduates have said they were offered greater leadership opportunities. 80% of girls have lead leadership positions since graduating high school.
