Case Manager Comments: Reed, It seems to me that you have developed a routine to work on your assignments and prepare for your tests and exams. I have seen you coming to Achieve more often and working with your tutors; however, I think that you need to come even more often. I am sure that you are more than capable to make your grades up, but more work needs to be done. CMST 382 – Research Methods Public Comn: These are the grades your instructor has posted in D2L to date.
Owen, I am very concerned about your progress. You have been honest with me and said that you are not keeping your class well organized as they should be. Missing classes and assignments will case a serious impact on your final grades. You need to catch up with all your classes and reading during this weekend. Let me know if you need any additional support to get you in good shape on your classes again.
I was too used to relying on my speed, and I started doubting myself more and more. My passes started going completely off target, my shots either went over or wide, and I couldn 't hold
If you continuously practice and work hard for what you want success will be the
Diary, I got another bad mark today in school. It usually wouldn't bother me too much, but it’s the third one in the last couple of weeks. I feel ashamed as I walk into my household, hanging my head and trying to avoid my parents because I am aware that a long wrath about how I need to be doing better is awaiting. Every time I have a test I kill myself attempting to prepare for it, but I don't think they realize how burnt out I truly am. I am currently enrolled in four core classes:
You see people in the world who are great and you look up to them and ask yourself how. Those people did not just automatically become successful just like that, but they had great character traits. Becoming great takes time and effort. In other words, you have to have a growth mindset, motivation, keep on practicing, and work hard. These words will be the key to becoming great.
This can sometimes be blamed on the student and how much they want out of a class but many times this is just way students are taught to learn and how they have always gotten through school. College’s need to take note of this problem and find a way to change it. Today’s education system and colleges are too focused on letter grades and not the betterment of students and expanding their knowledge. Getting good grades is the main focus of today’s student. Because of this, unfortunately, they
My grades slowly dropped because I didn’t have time to do any schoolwork and I would miss out on lessons because I would sleep in class. I knew that I couldn’t blow off my schoolwork, so instead of staying out late I would stay in school to finish any work that I had left.
The plans I have for my life requires me to pay close attention to every aspect of my grades and make sure I’m never slacking. At the moment, taking summer classes everything move a lot faster than I'm used to. There are pros and cons to this, for example, I'm learning how to get work done at a faster pace. The professors I have, let me know every time I make a mistake which is great for self-improvement if the negatives are ignored like I’m doing something right I will be failing as a student writer wanting to progress.
but there shouldn 't be any excuses. I will not miss or be late to any of my classes. I will be responsible and will not miss
The teacher and course that had the most impact on me would be math with Diana Synder. The reason she have had an impact on me is because I thought I would never make it through math. She encourage me by pushing me beyond my comfort zone with math. Ms. Synder, would answer any questions that I had with concern for math. She has opened my mind to the possibities of what I could achieve if I continue to work hard and stay focused.
You are failing a class in school. Were you not prepared for the quiz? Did your parents not help you? Or do you have an awful teacher? Whose fault is it if a student is failing a few classes in school; the parent, the teacher, or the student?
In P.E I think I am doing good but not so bad because y times when I am not in the mood to do something I dont unless someone pushes me to do better. I think I could have a good grade in p.e because I change and do the excirse right and just struggle with running. I should start changing more often to have a good grade. In algebra 1 I feel like I am doing much more better.
In my second semester of Cultural Geography I think I have been doing way better then my first semester,I think this because in the first semester I didn't do my work at all like literally at all, because I have cultural geography in 1st period so either in the morning I would be tired or I will be exhausted.because It will be the last period of the day on Thursday's or Friday's,and also the teacher will put us in groups, and I didn't used to like nobody from my first period class, and talk to them so when we would work in group work I would refuse not to do it,sometimes it will be to hard, and because I wouldn't talk to nobody so I will just sit there like I wouldn't care. For my second semester of English 9 I think I am actually doing a little better then the last semester,I used to think English really didn't affect your grade until they told me,I did used to do my work but I didn't used to put that much work,I just think that English is really boring. In my second semester of Algebra A I am doing way more badder than my
They lack the indication of students’ knowledge as they are only a depiction of their effort. Absences, laziness, and disengagements are just a few of the factors of why grades are a poor representation of students’ intellectual capacity. While others may argue that grades motivate them, it is not genuinely correct since grades encourage
