In the essay “Fighting Bulling with Babies,” David Bornstein’s goal is to “present the world through a ‘solution frame,’ rather than a ‘problem frame’” (Bornstein 204). He shows us that children from as young as eight years old can be taught to care for one another rather than bully one another. By writing this essay Bornstein hopes he can inspire schools to try this new approach to prevent bullying. David Bornstein argues that we need to teach our children how to care for one another and reward them, instead of punishing them for doing something wrong.

When I was growing up my cousin was getting bullied, when I was six years old, and my aunt and mom would always say, “Why can you not protect yourself, it’s okay to fight back.” Every time my aunt would visit, my mom would tell me if anyone bothers you don’t be like your cousin and let them because then you're letting them walk all over you. Bullying is a growing issue in our society affecting many people. People do not realize the damage they are doing to people and their families. Not only do the bullies hurt the people verbally, but they can get hurt mentally which could lead the victim to harm themselves or commit suicide. Even though we are not all white or all African American that does not mean we all should not be treated the same. In most schools, nearly half of all teachers are never trained in bullying prevention. Bullies are mostly cruel to innocent young children. Only one-third of students between ages 12 - 18 report being bullied. Students now judge or will be judged by the way they look, dress, speak, or their hair style. Over 2,000 American teenagers turn to suicide because of bullying.

There are some people that know that bullying is wrong but does it anyway. They find satisfaction from putting others down and making them feel so little about themselves. Cyber Bullying has become an increasing problem in our society that threatens physical and emotional harm to ever greater numbers of young people. The sad fact is, some youths are so deeply affected by the negative influence of bullying that they have taken their own lives. Although suicides represent a rare and extreme reaction to bullying, it is a real issue that our children are facing today. Cyberbullying is often a factor in young people becoming depressed and having low self-esteem. Cyberbullying has been an issue, in the United States as well as everywhere throughout the world.
Teenage suicide is definitely preventable when the right help is present. It can be recognized on the internet, gossiping, and phone callings. In almost all cases teenagers who bully others get some type of satisfaction in causing pain and injury to other teenagers. Being bullied should be an experience that no youth ever has to go through. Young teens who are being bullied try to seek out ways to cope with the pain and suffering.
Bullying Can Be Prevented Bullying is a form of violence to pick on victims because they are different from their bullies, have insecurity/jealousy or home problems. The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis.
