“Books are just bundles for the fundamental, long-frame messages that dwell inside’’ (Wachtell). Technology today has influenced every aspect of people’s lives, and the magnitude of this effect is enormous. The paper text is one of the topics that have raised much talk and debate around the world. The quote above is supported by the thought that there are those no matter what the circumstances are a paper text will always remain superior. There is also a school of thought that suggests that with time changing technology, electronic text is much better.

For instance, one would have had to print a thousand copies to reach readers of a magazine in a particular region, but now the same number and more can access the same magazine electronically on the Internet and even download it if they desire to have physical possession of it. This has reduced a significant amount of expense that would have incurred in production. “Hypothetically, a digital book could cost nothing. The expense of transmitting the computerized bits of, for example, e-books is nil. This is the reason an individual can discover e-books for works in the general population area accessible for nothing everywhere throughout the Internet.” (Purdy). This affordability has allowed information to be readily available to many if not all, knowledge is no longer expensive, and many have been able to improve some aspects of their lives. Nevertheless, some effects make those that prefer the paper to cling even more to paper texts. The change from paper texts has had an impact on cost as well. “Regardless of the fact that distributors and retailers change their practices and start offering e-books at a reasonable value, e-books still won't assume control over the whole distributed business sector.” (Purdy). Even though they decide to put the cost of e-books lower, they’ll still need e-book readers to buy merchandise. If e-book readers do not think the cost is low, then they will not buy e-books because it means no profit is
