Michael Jordan. I would like to talk about Michael Jordan. I think that most of you know who he is, but if you don't, he is currently a retired basketball player, who is known as the greatest basketball player of all time. And he once said: “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. That is why I succeed.” And that is what my speech is going to be about today. Failure. Because failure broadens my horizon, and hopefully yours too. I would like to ask you, the audience, to briefly think about the following: Have you ever failed? Have you ever made a mistake? And finally, has that mistake eventually led to something positive? I think that the answer to all of these questions should be yes. “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.” Those are words from JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series.
