Lord Capulet’s emotional ways provide evidence he is trying to involve himself in Juliet’s life. As shown on page 199 (Act 3, Scene 5) when he says, “She refuses? Isn’t she grateful? Isn’t she proud of such a match? Doesn’t she realize what a blessing this is?
In act three, scene 5 Capulet stresses his right as her father to marry her to Paris, threatening her with disinheritance and public shame. But this doesn't affect Juliet - she would rather die than enter a false marriage "if all else fail, myself have power to die" (p. 185, act 3, scene 5). In the balcony scene, Juliet is very much aware of the recklessness of their love - "It is too rash, too unadvis'd, too sudden.". This sense of rushing very much characterize their relationship, despite her fears she is the one to ask him
In Act 3 scene 4, Capulet says “ I think She’ll do whatever I say” . This statement shows us Lord Capulet think Juliet won’t say no about marrying Paris, it also shows that he think he can control Juliet’s life. Making him feel very confident to get the best for his daughter even though it means controlling her life. In Act 3 scene 5, Lord Capulet says “ I hear you say proud and I thank
(Who’s to Blame, DBQ, Doc D). This quote from Capulet in Act three, Scene five, shows the frustration in his voice towards Juliet about her refusal to get married to Paris. When Capulet said those things, he pushed Juliet further away and made her do drastic things for love. This made Juliet more determined to stay with her beloved Romeo. Unfortunately her determination ended in her demise as she stayed with Romeo in the end.

On page 66 Capulet says to Juliet, “He’s the man of any girl’s dreams. But this wretched, whimpering fool, like a whining puppet,..” This evidence supports my reason because it show how Capulet is so quick to bring his only daughter down just because she does not want to marry a man they assigned her to. On page 91 Capulet says after finding the bodies of Juliet and Romeo, “That knife should be in its sheath on that Montague’s back, but instead it’s mis-sheathed in my daughter's breast.” This evidence supports my reason because it shows how even after finding the body of his daughter, Capulet still referred back to the Matougues in a negative way instead of mourning for his only daughter's
Reply not. Do not answer me” (3.5.160-163). This quote demonstrates another instance of Lord Capulet’s ill behavior towards Juliet, which represented that he has little to no affection or care to his daughter. Only the marriage which is in his own personal gain. But, not only did Capulet contributed to Romeo & Juliet’s deaths, the quote exemplified the usage of foreshadowing.
Dustin Crosland The Blame for Romeo & Juliet Tragedy The tragic story of Romeo and Juliet is full of grief, sorrow, anger, and woe. We often expect our parents to help and guide us with these emotions, however this is not the case in Romeo and Juliet. This is why the families are to blame for the tragic ending of Romeo and Juliet due to the feud and the relationships between Romeo/Juliet and their parents. The feud between the Montague’s and Capulet’s probably started with their ancestors long ago, but it has kept going.
And this is significant to the story to show how Juliet is “weak” and needs to be taken away from the horrible situations that her family is putting her into. The quote attributes to this point because Capulet has done these horrible things to his daughter and never does anything to stop himself from harming her because he sees as though he is doing nothing wrong. Ultimately it is easy to blame someone who mentally and physically abuses their child and this point is the main reason why Romeo and Juliet
Lord Capulet played an important part in the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet. Initially, he was a gentle and caring father to Juliet. In addition, Capulet was passionate and proud that Juliet was his daughter. When Paris proposed the idea of marrying Juliet, Capulet told him to wait and makes her fall in love with him so that she wouldn’t feel like she was being forced into it. Essentially, Lord Capulet had already agreed with Paris’ decision without thinking about it from Juliet’s point of view.
This quote shows that since they want Romeo dead Juliet and him have to split up. In Act 3 Scene 1 the Capulet’s says “Marry my child earky next Thursday morning. They is forcing Juliet into marriage nand now she hass to find a way out. Lord and Lady capulet bitterness have lead to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
Act 2 scene 2 line 70 “ If they see you they’ll murder you”. This shows that because they fight so much they will murder him. This forces them to be secretive and not tell anyone therefore leading to more pressure on Juliet to not marry Paris. “three times now riots have broken out in this city all casual word from you old capulet and Montague” Act 1 scene 1 line 83-86. This shows that they fight with each other so much and this makes it hard for Romeo and Juliet to make their marriage public so they must keep it a secret since the families are mortal foes.
In William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet fall in love despite their familie’s feud. we all know their love ended with agony, but who is truly to blame for their death? They themselves, or the others around their grave? I believe that the blame of their deaths should be put onto the parents. Parents have always had a impact on their children.
In this quote, Lord Capulet is saying that Juliet is to young to make a big decision like marriage. This quote was also chosen because it shows that she has no experience in the real world so she wouldn't be ready to be committed to a lifelong marriage. This shows that Romeo and Juliet are moving too fast and aren't ready for
Why did Romeo and Juliet’s marriage went so wrong at the end? Maybe it's that they were not meant for each other. Maybe it's that they're family hated each other. Maybe it's because they both committed suicide. Whatever reason it was we can both agree they both weren't thinking when they were by each other and never thought about what would happen if they marry or the fact that they are total strangers.
