The Fall of Rome The fall of Rome were as much a result of external strife as any internal problems. The empire had simply out reached its capabilities. The idea of enlarging a boundaries is two-fold. The larger a country becomes, the more better able it is to supply itself with resources internally instead of relying upon outside help. The United States can be used as an example to illustrate. During WWI and WWII, the U.S. supplied itself and its allies with supplies and resources. It’s vast size allowed it to do this, Rome had some of the same advantages.
