1. Which two of the functions above seem to be the most important to families in the U.S. today? economic and education

The reason economic is an important function to families, is because having a job is important. A job provides for the family, such as: buying food, putting a roof over the families head, and putting clothes on their back.

The reason education is an important function to families, is because parents and families have the biggest impact on a child's learning. Also later in life it is important to have an education to get certain jobs that require a diploma or degree. So, it is important for families to persuade their children to go to school and get a good education.

2. Which two of the

My family has always been their for one another and help each other through hard times. Which i think families should be like that, but a lot of them are not. A lot of times a family member will turn their back on you before a complete stranger would. Although, that is sad but it is true.

3. Which two are the most important functions in your family? education and adaptation.

4. Give an example of how your family has carried out each of the two functions you mentioned in question 3?

Education has always been an important function in my family. My mother and grandparents has always encouraged my brother and I to do good in school and make good grades. The reason for that is because, after you graduate from high school or college you will have a diploma or degree to get a better job.

Adaptation is also a very important function in my family. My family is always their for one another during crisis and in any other situation. Whether it be someone in the hospital or just someone needing to talk with someone about their problems. However, not every family is like that, but it is a very important function a family should

I would have to say both. Why? because it is important for families to have family functions. In my home my family and I spend quality time together in a positive way. We go out to eat, go shopping, watch movies, and go four wheeler riding. We believe if you spend quality time together, you have many memories to share over the years as a family.

7. Do you feel that the family today is "breaking down" because it is no longer performing specific function? Why or why not?

Yes, i do feel like family today is breaking down, especially if children come from a divorced home. Because it seems as though, the parents get caught up in their own lives instead of taking care of their children. It it sad but more children end up living with their grandparents rather than their own parents. Some men and women live their life's so selfishly and put themselves first, and leave their children to take care of themselves. My mother is a single parent and she provides for my brother and I and we are truly blessed, not to have to go through
