“Family is the center of everyday American life. Our parents are our first protectors, first teachers, first role models, and first friends. Parents know that America’s great reward is the quiet but incomparable satisfaction that comes from building their families a better life.” Having a dysfunctional family where both parents are not present and one is present can affect a child’s life and the way they approach things because they have no one to talk to or advise them on certain
In the 1950s, there were usually a specific guideline for what a family is supposed to look like. According to a Washington Post article by Bridgid Schulte in 2014, called “Unlike in the 1950s, there is no “typical” US family today”, the United States has since changed the family dynamic. In the 50s, the head of the family was always the father, and he made the money to support his wife and their kids, who would someday do the same for their families. The mother would almost always stay home to care for, feed and clothe the children as the stereotypical “Homemaker” that was romanticized during this decade. Schulte mentions that, “But perhaps what we haven’t fully understood yet is that today, there is no one “typical” family.
One of the most beautiful parts is the unity that is seen within the family. My family personally has been very close since I have memory and although we have gone through a lot of things my mother has been the rock to my family. She has taught me the value of having and education and has always given me support. My siblings have also helped me throughout this journey and it is something that I will never be able to repay. As a family we have had a close union moving forward together.
It is important to understand our diverse America because every day our population starts growing from people with different backgrounds. Our schools, jobs, and parks there will be people with different culture, religions, beliefs, or color skin. It’s important to understand our diversity because that’s what unites us as a great country accepting those despite where they’re from or color skin. As we grow, we want to teach the younger generation that it’s important to accept diversity and regardless of one's background we are all the same as humans. If you think about it America was made from descendant immigrants who have been here for generations and leaving their print of their culture every day as America accepting their background because
“Foundation of Family” Family is the fundamental building block of all societies. It is all inclusive across generations and cultures. Based on the epic poem The Odyssey and current families today, we see that family is where we learn to love ourselves and each other, to bear one another’s burdens, to find meaning in our life and to give purpose to other’s lives, and to feel the value of being part of something greater than ourselves. Family is where we experience our biggest triumphs, deepest vulnerabilities, and where we have the greatest potential to do good.
The structural aspect of a family is that since laws and rights have come into fruition, it has led to an increase in couples having civil marriages and partnerships. Currently, the frequency of partners who are gay and lesbian has also increased and has therefore wilted of what was once recognised a ‘traditional family’. Parents who live on their own and taking full responsibility of their children has taken a gradual rise in and around the World, this has also the paved the way towards a lesser representation on how a traditional family would look like to a certain

If it wasn’t for the strong value of family, I wouldn’t have been the person I am today. They supported me through all the clubs I have joined, and the decisions I make. Family is characterized with common aspects such as parents, grandparents, and siblings but there are so many other ways to distinct family. The word family is commonly defined as a group of individuals that have the same ancestors, and gather for holidays and other special events. Family to me is getting everyone together and having a good time and acting crazy with your loved ones, making memories.

All students deserve to be treated fairly as individuals. When considering the diversity of the class members, we will celebrate the uniqueness that the differences contribute. Because I have high expectations that all my children can be successful, adjustments may be necessary because everyone is not the same (Burden, 2017, p. 115). It is vital that a spirit of understanding and edification is active amongst the students and from the teacher (Romans 14:19, King James Version) to produce fruits of mutual respect: reduced bias, positive academic outcomes, enhanced problem solving, and healthy group dynamics (Cousik, 2015, p. 54). For differences that stem from culture, gender, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status, the adjustments will involve bridging the cultural gap between the students’ diversity and the curriculum.
I believe that every family has their own roots, essence, uniqueness, beliefs and thoughts, some families have both parents, some just the mother, just the father, two mothers or two fathers, they might have an only child or two, or maybe 5 or even 10, therefore, those children start learning all these things from their family and surroundings, they ask questions, they imitate each other’s actions and are constantly learning and trying to catch as much information and experiences as possible. Children are growing fast, their parents are their role models, they learn mostly from them; parents have the tremendous job of forming good citizens that provide to society, healthy and happy beings that keep growing as humans in every stage of their
