The war destroyed a family “It can take years to mold a dream. It takes only a fraction of a second for it to be shattered”. (Mary E. Pearson). Any war has horrible impacts in the lives of people who are especially involved. It destroys not only a family life but also national and international economy beside the safety of a whole country. Farewell to Manzanar is a book, written by Jeanne Wakatsuki. A It is a famous story which targets how human life changes really at war. War can destroy countries in addition to collapsing people lives, families, and children. She describes how her family suffered from the war through her experience to show how a happy family can be destroyed by the war. She introduce her family as the main characters of the book. Papa and Mama were the main characters of the book. They are the author’s parents. These two characters have different stages in the book. This made papa and Mama very complicated characters who went through different stages in their life which affect them emotionally, financially and their relationship.
