Male athletes get paid about 15% to 100% more than female athletes. This is because men perform so much better than females. People around the world think that men athletes and what they do are more entertaining than female athletes (Wong). This point illustrates that Women athletes do not deserve equal pay because they do not perform the same as men athletes.

They think that it is a violation of the rights they have worked so hard to attain. Some people argue that female athletes do not deserve to be paid the same as male athletes because they are not as good. Others argue that women's sports generate much less revenue, and so should be paid less (Wong)
Lastly, women don’t deserve equal pay because the money that male athletes earn come from fans and supporters. While female athletes don’t have as many fans or supporters as male athletes get paid as much. Let’s say we did pay women equally. Where would that money come from? We would need to take money from the government which would be another and bigger problem in our society. I believe women don’t deserve such money because they can’t dunk.
Unequal pay for female athletes is a violation of the rights they have worked so hard to attain. Not only is creating a fair future for women's sports important, but recognizing inequalities that currently exist, and understanding how they came to be, is essential for women entering and staying in the sports industry (Laurent).
