Female serial murders can have a career spanning 8 and 11 years compared to men who, on average, go for about 2 years before being apprehended. On average, female serial killers are responsible for about nine murders during their careers while men tend to murder about 7 victims. The reasons behind such differences is that females are lesser of suspects compared to men and engage in careful planning and meticulous actions in their murders.
