I have never really been able to find out what exactly feminism stands for, all I really know is that people call me a feminist whenever I express my opinion that women are more than someone’s daughter, mother, or wife. Throughout history women have traditionally been denied many rights. They were denied the right to vote up until 1920. Women were not able to take certain classes because men did not find it necessary, furthermore without education women didn’t have many economic opportunities, so throughout history women took the role of a housewife and mother.
