In conclusion, it is very much appropriate to argue that gender roles prevent women from achieving their full selves through the many societal standards that haunt them inwardly. Outwardly, men maintain the authority and tend to have less obstacles to overcome because they are already higher in power. White women are pushed to go along with the white men’s norms but if white women and women of different ages, class, and race came together the balance of power would be split causing society to be equal. If gender roles were completely abolished, women of different races would not feel as inferior to another race and society wouldn 't place standards on women in general.
