This part of the book brings attention to the control government has within its own citizens minds , even though it’s impossible to control every person's memory, but history is an archive of human memory , therefore it’s ironic because they change past memories , so they control people's meteorites because they can not deny a “past” the government fabricated and created to fill out there agenda only further demonstrating what strong hold they had over society.
Poverty is something humanity has dealt with Many centuries , from the beginning to the present , and Orwell’s time was no exception. Within the world or “1984” Orwell portrays the society living within the dystopian cities as living in very poor conditions , only 2 percent which are government officials living a richer side of life.
