Margarita Engle was a woman who knew how to create an escape. Born September 2nd, 1951, in a cuban- american household,Engel has had a significant impact on abolitionist writing. Her most famous works are for children, however she is exceptionally adept at poems. Poems are a creative interpretation of the soul that allow us to transcend our insignificant lives and be something greater.
