Character Trait Note #1: Amir fits the character trait of Cowardly because of how he cannot stand up for himself or others sometimes, mostly when he was younger. This quote shows how Amir is a coward because he would not stand up to Assef and help Hassan. Instead, he ran away and pretended that he was never there. Another example of Amir’s cowardice was when Baba would persuade him to act a certain way and how he wanted to be a writer, but Baba wouldn’t let him. He always wanted to impress Baba and he was a coward because he didn’t profess his true feelings or what he felt about what he wanted to do.
Carefully chosen syntax can affect many aspects of a piece of writing. The Kite Runner has many examples of specifically chosen syntax to create a sense of tension, excitement or drama. A perfect example of how an author can set the audience up to feel a certain way is displayed in this quote: Mostly, I remember this: his brass knuckles flashing blows in the afternoon light; how cold they felt with the first few blows and how quickly they warmed with my blood. Getting thrown against the wall, a nail where a framed picture may have hung once jabbing at my back.
Figurative Language is saying something other than what is literally meant for effect. When authors use figurative language, it is a way for them to express their feelings, as well as their emotions. Often times when an author is trying to send a message to the reader, they will use figurative language, because figurative language is an easy way to convey a message in a story. In Jonathan Edwards "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" and Dekanawida's "The Iroquios Constitution" there are great examples of figurative language.
In The Kite Runner, there are various examples of verbal irony. One example is when Amir gets lectured from his father about sin. Amir’s father states that he believes that there is only one sin in the world-- theft. Telling lies steals someone’s right to know the truth, cheating steals the right to fairness, killing a man takes away a life, and so on. As clearly shown, Amir’s father despises people who steal.
Summary: Shortly after the caravan’s departure for Al-Fayoum, the once shepherd began to dig deep into his thoughts, beginning to understand more about the world around him and his situation. The boy believed that intuition was simply due to life being written out for people from the beginning. Throughout the trip, Santiago had spoken to individuals such as the camel driver. The boy had also begun to interact with the Englishman, exchanging insights of the world. He learned that the Englishman was interested in alchemy, and suggested the man to look at the desert’s surroundings to learn something new.
The Novel Kite Runner is a great novel to read and sends a great message to children. The author uses simple values and emotions too convey the book. One of the main things this novel teaches us is that betrayal is like scar left on your body no matter what you do it won’t go away as shown to us in the novel by Amir. Amir betrayed Hassan and did nothing when he was being raped at this moment Amir realized he had betrayed Hassan and had lost respect as a person. Later on we see how Amir tries his best to hide away the fact that he saw everything and could have done something to stop what had happened to Hassan but didn’t he tries to forget but as he tries he see how difficult it gets and what are the major consequence from doing this such as

One of these techniques is imagery, which is used to enhance the reader's understanding of the characters and their relationships. One example of imagery in The Kite Runner is the relationship between Amir and Hassan. Amir and Hassan are childhood friends and brothers, and the imagery used to describe theirrelationship helps to show the love and devotion they have for one another. For example, Hosseini describes their friendship as "a bond forged from the steel of sacrifice and love."

Such examples portray the use of irony in many instances. Irony is a very powerful tool that can occur in everyday situations to the twisting and turning of plots in literature.
Strong irony is present in the end of Chapter 20 in “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini due to a false atmosphere of safety, the Taliban’s fake purpose, and the children’s happiness despite the circumstances which makes the reader more empathetic and the characters more determined. The orphanage itself is ironic in the sense that it is supposed to be a safe, protected place for orphans but it is neither of those and does not have enough resources to support the children. The orphans themselves are ironic because they are not all orphans - some still have mothers that cannot provide for them. Afghanistan’s culture is symbolized throughout Khaled Hosseini’s “Kite Runner”. Beginning with Religion in Afghanistan, Islam is the major religion in Afghan communities. This included Amir and Hassan although they were apart of different sects within Islam. Islam was founded by Muhammad on the basis of revelation from God. There are 5 pillars within islam, starting with Faith, Charity, Prayer, Fasting, and making a pilgrimage to Mecca.
The lies caused by the cowardice and poor decisions by Baba and the closest person to him, Rahim Khan. Baba "was a tortured soul" and trapped between his family and his culture. The connection between Baba and Amir, the two dynamic characters of Khaled Hosseini's fantastic book signify the meaning of guilt and the force of love. Baba stole Amir and Hassan's right to the truth, and so did Amir. Amir stole Hassan's right to a happy life with his father by framing him into what he never did.
People believe coming back from past mistakes have no returns, but in the book The Kite Runner this is not the issue. Khaled Hosseini tells a story about two boys with different experiences in their childhood one of the boys went through a horrible life experience his name was Hassan, and the other Amir the main character in the story experienced a life of guilt for not being brave to defend those that defended him. The story begins in California when he had moved from Kabul because the Russians were starting to invade. Khaled Hosseini uses symbolism to describe character reactions and emotions throughout friendships and connects with the story.

Individual Literary Analysis In many literary works, a character known as a ‘confidant’ (‘confidante’ for females) functions as a sympathetic ear for the main character’s problems. However, depending on how the author writes them, they can serve a much more meaningful role in the grand scheme of the story. In my opinion, there is no better example of this in our selection of books than Rahim Khan. The author of The Kite Runner skillfully uses his influence and position as a confidant to serve many narrative purposes.
