Figurative language itself enhances so much writing and literature out there. To similes, metaphors, irony, allusion, etc. For this one specific piece of writing “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, there is a bunch of figurative language painted across this story, advancing its mood and setting. The setting and mood in any story in general with figurative language gives you a better picture and thought of where the character(s) are.
