1. How was Firoozeh’s idea of a “vacation” different from that of her father? Explain.
Firoozeh’s idea of vacation is very different from her father’s. She prefers a vacation surrounded by nature, like Hawaii or Yosemite. Given the choice of places, she prefers things that are less crowded and city-like. She once stayed in crowded Waikiki and hated it, but she loved her stay in the forest of Kauai. Firoozeh’s father prefers places like Las Vegas, maybe anywhere with flashing lights and the promise of a deal to be had. He can’t stand places like Yosemite or Kauai, and would prefer to either gamble in Vegas or simply stay on his couch at home.
2. How was Firoozeh’s idea of a honeymoon different from that of her husband? Explain.
Firoozeh’s and
