Iris Marion Young identifies that the five forms of structural oppression are called the “five faces of oppression” which include: exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, cultural imperialism, and systemic violence. According to Young in Five Faces of Oppression, she states “the presence of even one of these five conditions is sufficient for calling a group oppressed” (Young p.335).
