“Marching Band v.s. Football” Marching band and football have a lot more in common than people realize. Most individuals do not take this into consideration, they favor one over the other in most cases, unless you have children or friends that are involved in both. The two encourage each other, when the marching band plays it really can spark an energy unspoken into the football players; thus, when the football team makes a good play, this can really be beneficial when getting a band to be interested in the game. Together, both activities bring out the best in each other, though, they do have their differences as well. One of the first visibal and obvious differences between the marching band and the football team is the equipment each uses.

The Lees took advantage of these benefits because they were in need for medical aid for their youngest daughter, Lia Lee.

This movement would have significant effects on individual lives and identities, promoting many to reevaluate their own lives and beliefs, through an emphasis on spirituality and the religious experience.
Nowadays, many people wear items of clothing decorated with sugar skulls or skeleton prints, such as shirts, dresses, or leggings on Día de los Muertos. You can also wear shells and dance so that the noisiness "wakes up" the dead or even dress up as the deceased. •Some women also dress as Calavera Catrina in long, flowing, brightly-colored lace dresses paired with flower crowns and sugar skull makeup. •Sometimes, children dress in costume and ask people on the street for a calaverita (a small gift of money). Unlike Halloween, though, they don't knock on doors.

When I tried out for cheer I was hoping to add a new spin in my own life, but what I didn’t realize is that I would soon have to focus my orbit around a new center of gravity, the squad. Only after you join a team do you truly understand what the word commitment means. Making cheer was a turning point in my life for multiple reasons, one being because I had a real commitment to others.
In every school there are set policies and procedures so that all people working within the school are aware and stick to the same rules. Consistency is imperative. All adults working in the school would be : teaching staff, support staff, lunchtime supervisors, kitchen staff, governors, after school staff and temporary staff. There are many policies in schools that children and staff should be aware of.

What is Cheerleading? Many may think it’s a sport that you dress up, apply makeup, slick your hair with a bow, and simply put on a smile, and yell as loud as you can to keep the crowd pumped. Cheerleading includes all those easy and pretty factors, but it is also a sport that you stunt, tumble, and jump. Jumps and tumbling may seem really easy to many people, but there’s more work done than most might think is possible. Stunting is also a major element in cheer, and that’s what really pleases the crowd, but stunting takes tons of work.
Cheerleading has taught me so many life lessons and has given me the opportunity to meet new people from all over the country and learn from their accomplishments. I learned that even after failure one must learn from his or her mistakes and to make those improvements where necessary. It was not about proving those who doubted me wrong, but to give those who had the same desire an example. It also helped me serve as that kind of ambassador for the school. This has helped me look at the world and ask myself what is missing from it that I am able to provide.
Cheerleading can not be done by one person, but with the help of several athletes. School cheerleading is also done to show sportsmanship and spirit. Cheerleaders are a reflection of their school, and must act like it. I promise to always represet the school in a positive way and to always show righteousness to each an every athlete. What's a school without any spirit? In order for students to be motivated the school must have spirit . That is what spirit week is for,the school chooses a word that represents our school such as the word,pride,from this word comes different dress up days, for the entire week each day students can dress up a specific way for example one day student wear pajamas or another day they would dress up wearing the school colors. Students all throughout school participate in spirit week dressing up and most of all showing that school spirit.
Students can express their style and identity through their clothes. Students would like the freedom to keep up with latest styles and fashion and having dress codes takes that away. Lee Rowland, “School dress codes are saying that the self-identity that you want to express through your clothes doesn 't belong here. ”(Rowland 1).
Many high schools have implemented dress codes that set rules for what students can and cannot wear while on school premises, and yet many people disagree with these policies. Though arguments can be made for either side, a dress code can have a very positive outcome for all parties involved. A fixed dress code promotes professionalism in a learning environment, and contrary to popular belief, it does not limit a student’s freedom of expression. Last but not least it encourages equality and acceptance among their peers. A dress code can be reasonable if used in proper situations that require certain attires.
