During the proposal of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1972, Schlafly founded a group with more proactive approach called “Stop ERA” with one goal in mind, to defeat the ratification of ERA. After the success of the “Stop ERA” campaign, Phyllis Schlafly founded the eagle forum, a pro family group dedicated to “opposing all encroachments against American sovereignty through…feminist goals” (Schlafly). Executive Summary JetBlue Airways is a company that applies innovative technologies to offer high quality travel services at a lower cost (Shrivastava, 2012). A SWOT analysis of JetBlue airlines shows that despite the numerous opportunities and strengths it has, it is exposed to threats and weaknesses that pose challenges in its operations. The threats include issues like strong competition from other airlines and the volatility of the fuel prices. JetBlue Airlines is relatively new to the market when compared to its major competitors such as the Southwest and Delta Airlines. Most of its strategies have worked to its benefit.
In the short story of "You'll Love the Way We Fly", Lori Jakiela described her encounter with an old sickly man on her job as a flight attendant. In the story she talks in vivid detail about who she is as well as the man and the way they interact throughout the plane rides. The story protagonists are the old man and of course, Jakiela. In the story Jakiela decides what she will do about the old man and how it will change her throughout the story. By looking at the evolution of the relationship between Jakiela and the old man in the flight, we can see there are certain parts that make her rethink her decisions to care for the man: which most readers don’t see; this is important because by the end of the flight Jakiela turns her attitude around and thinks about the man and his home life.
Last night, I watched the movie ‘Airlift’ and I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The movie is gripping, the performances and direction were definitely above the average ‘Bollywood’ standard and Akshay Kumar gives one of the best performances of his career as Ranjit Katyal – the man who led 170,000 Indians stranded in Kuwait, to their homeland. Now if you are movie buff, that’s all you should know to enjoy the movie.
