Throughout the film Food, Inc it illustrates the harsh reality of our food industry and provides us with a background of how our food is progressed. This film brings to light a major issue that is in our society and highlights the factor that not much has changed. You would expect these industries to be improving their conditions on the quality of our food, however, this is far from true. These industries have been hiding the reality of their food and this film illustrates how they only care about the profit they make, not the quality.

Coli. The outbreak in E. Coli was transferred through the meat that was progressed through the factories. These factories allowed their animals to be surrounded by their own feces and did not feed them proper food For instance, in this film they illustrate how they fed cows, and many other animals corn. The main reasons for this were that corn was cheap, and it allowed these animals to become fatter. However, it also caused them to create diseases. Before this, E Coli was only within animals, however, after industries started to feed animals corn it caused this disease to be transferred worldwide. This outbreak would have never been possible if these industries didn't use such shortcuts. These industries have allowed millions of people to die, yet haven't taken the blame for their wrongdoings. Instead, they use their power to further their industry. For example, within the film, it provides with a story of a woman who had lost her son to this disease. She has fought against these factories for over 7 years after the death of her son. However, these industries have yet to take the blame. In American society, millions of people are diagnosed with this diseases. Usually it was only common among adults, however, it is now common among children. This film exposes this disease and the root cause. For example, in this film, they demonstrate a family that suffers from this problem. They illustrate the difference between eating healthy and not. They demonstrate how fast food is much cheaper and less time consuming than eating healthy food. This is the main reason why people don't eat healthily. They compare the two and come to a conclusion that “the cheaper the better”. Many people are suffering from poverty and the least of their worries is eating healthy.
