Football helps kids
Going out on the gridiron can be the time of your life but what happens if your parents wouldn't let you? Would you be angry or frustrated? Parents should let their children play football and many current players, former players, and coaches agree. Football has come to have had a bad reputation with injuries but that doesn't tell the whole story. The reasons why kids should play football are that it can help people face adversity, it is safer than it used to be, and it can turn boys to men.

This could be from changing your plays or changing from a boy to a man. This can be good for later in life where you will need to make adult decisions such as where to go to college. Football helps that because you need to make decisions each play you are out on the field. Frank Delano talks about how football has formed his character "I am forever grateful to the game of football for revealing the character within me to be the best husband, father, son, brother, friend, teacher, coach and person I can possibly be"(Delano). He is saying how football made him a better man today then he would have been if he did not coach and play football. Tony Dungy a super bowl winning player and coach talks about his job being a coach "So if they come and play for me, win a lot of games, make a ton of money, but they don’t leave as better people, I haven’t done my total job. Winning is what we get paid for but I think my job is more than that."(Dungy).
