Throughout the book, Where The Red Fern Grows, character's actions are constantly affecting each other. However, the grandfather is one character that is unique in a way that he impacts others in ways others are not able to. The grandfather's actions mainly affect others in positive ways. Two examples of this are when he gives Billy, the protagonist, his own tricks for catching raccoons on pages 55 and 87. By doing this he helps ensure Billy's success with his hunting hounds.
Character Comparison There are many similarities between characters from A Separate Peace and Dead Poets Society. One of them is between Neil and Finny. They both have lots of energy and are very friendly. Two other characters that are similar are Todd and Gene. They’re both quiet and dedicated to their academics.
To the people of Sighet, it was a rule to dislike the needy, a group of peoples whom the townsfolk shared few similarities. An exception however was Moishe the Beadle, a man unique in the fact that he doesn’t fall under the stereotypes of any common group. His noninvasive and shy demeanor evokes an inviting feeling and causes those around him to smile. These personality traits separate Moishe from the dullness of others and distinguished him as a potential mentor for Elie to have. The use of imagery and other descriptive vocabulary brings to light Moishe’s role as Elie’s master, and also highlights him as a complex character.

You remember Foxface, the odd girl from District 5 who appeared in the first book/film. She was a quiet one, not speaking to anyone and always training on her own. But she had a very different tactic from the others. Instead of training with weapons she preferred to use stealth using the environment to her advantage. At the start of the book/film, before the games, we see her fiddling with a computer screen with a bunch of different plant symbols on it.

In the play Raisin in the Sun written by Lorraine Hansberry takes place on the southside of Chicago where Walter and his family are racially profiled and show us how the survive throughout their struggles. The central struggles for the younger family in their search for the American dream is mostly poverty and being racially profiled against for their actions. Hansberry challenges the traditional gender roles and issues of dominance throughout the play when Mama gives Walter lee the rest of the money at the end of the play. He becomes all excited and was supposed to save some for himself and put the rest of the money to Beneatha 's education. Instead, he gave all that money to Willy another character in the play which later on that he stole from him.

“Two Kinds,” by Amy Tan, essentially revolves around the struggle of Jing Mei and her constant conflict with her mother. Throughout her life, she is forced into living a life that is not hers, but rather her mom’s vision of a perfect child; because her mother lost everything, which included her parents and kids, so her only hope was through Jing Mei. Jing Mei’s mom watches TV shows such as the Ed Sullivan Show, which gives her inspiration that her daughter should be like the people and actors. The story of Young Goodman Brown is the story of a tale about the main character becoming aware of the hypocrisy of his faith as a Puritan. Through his travels in the woods at night, he unveils the truths, or what he believes as truths, about his wife Faith, neighbors, and fellow Christians. By the end, Brown loses all trust in his Faith, both literally and spiritually, and refuses to see any good in the world. The beginning scene where Goodman Brown meets the old man has the most significance in the story’s resolution. This is where his mistrust starts to form and where he experiences his first temptations to sin.
