On October 24, 2015 I traveled to Ronald Reagan High School to see the Reagan Fall One Acts with my dad. The Reagan Fall One Acts were composed of two marvelously written and directed major plays called, Not an Instant directed by, Kris Puddicombe; written by Anne Liners, War of the Nerds directed by, Nic Onorato; written by Gonzalo Nieto, and three short performances called, Hiraeth, It’s Not a Joke, and In and Out all performed by very talented IB theatre students. There were various aspects of the plays that I found particularly interesting such as, the acting, the lighting, and the costumes. The actors immensely entertained me, there were a few improvements they could have made, but overall, they did a marvelous job and I would definitely
Hypnotist Dan Candell returned to the school on November 12th and students lined up at the doors as early as one hour before the show to snag the best seats in the auditorium. By 6:30 (half an hour before the start of the show) the bottom section of the auditorium was nearly filled to the brim with excited students. Parents, students, siblings, and even audience members from other schools waited anxiously for Dan Candell to take the stage and work his illusionary magic. The first few minutes of the show involved a few humorous stories, all of which involved past experiences Dan Candell had at his other shows, and then he tested everyone in the audience to determine whether they were visual learners or auditory learners to weed out who he would choose to hypnotize.

When I attended Shrek the Musical put on by Wylie High Schools Theater Department, I admit that I did not have high expectations. I had always enjoyed the Shrek movies, but was not prepared to witness the green Ogre come to life before my eyes. From the moment the characters marched down the isle of the auditorium, it was evident that many talented people had put time in effort into making this performance enjoyable and memorable. Shrek the Musical consisted of a tremendous cast, beautiful music, awe inspiring scenery in addition to heart felt imagery.

The immigration had gone to pick up Panchito and Roberto and the rest of the family. 3 months later when they where back in Mexico they had wanted to leave again to California as immigrants. Then, Panchito thought over and over about when they took him in front of his class. Pancito had sat with his mom to talk he told how how he never wanted that to happen again, Panchito had and idea, his idea was them getting papers and not have to be immigrants anymore.

In 1974 Ronald Clark O’Bryan did the unthinkable and killed his own child. He drugged his Halloween candy, and since that year, Halloween has never been the same. There is now an ever-present fear of children being poisoned at random on Halloween night. I wanted to write this Op-ed to show parents that they do not have to be so fearful. My hope is that I can de-bunk some of the urban legends surrounding one of the best holidays of the year.
I was on my way to the best place in the world, NO not Disney, no not the Mall of America but the cotton candy factory. If I haven't told you already, I love cotton candy, it’s so fluffy and sweet. Once I got there I rushed right through the doors and down the colorful cotton aisle, I could not pick a flavor, I ended up getting five different kinds in a bag, but it was all worth the drive and $25.00. When I got home I watched some movies and ate cotton candy. When I paused the movie to answer the phone the TV switched to the news channel and I heard what the reporters were talking about, a group of people in California had started a protest against cotton candy based on a stupid research by Albert Einstein that stated, cotton candy will one day take over the world.
