Along time ago there was a king in England who would take colonists homes, put us in prison, and not tell us why. The king would take our guns which we needed to protect ourselves back then. We got into a war when we were trying to free ourselves from England. We won the war so we created a new government. But we wanted to have some rules the government has to follow so this new government doesn 't do the same thing the old garment did.
With research on the usefulness of service dogs in dealing with many physical and emotional issues, their training has evolved over the years. Before the civil war, most dogs were used for house things like pulling sleds, protection, livestock, and guarding your yard." Until dogs were first used during the Civil War in 1863. In those times all kinds of dogs were used for service dogs" (Lanting Fred, June 2012). Like pit bulls, Bulldogs, and Bull Terriers.
The Fourth Amendment was created in response to the British practice of issuing a general warrant—warrants that were not limited in scope. The ultimate check that the Amendment places on law enforcement is one of “reasonableness.” This creates two broad categories of searches: searches that would be unreasonable without a warrant and searches that do not require a warrant. For example, warrants are not relevant in the context of school administration. However, warrants have historically always been required in the course of ordinary law enforcement.”
Flag Burning Imagine you're walking down the street and you see someone taking the one thing you have worked for and they were burning it right in front of you. Would you be angry?
After convening together yesterday, I finally understood the true importance of my decision and of my votes; they will not only have a major impact on our present generation but on posterity as well. Therefore, I do not make this decision lightly, but given the current trajectory of our states and the future conflicts that might occur if we choose not to change, I strongly believe that ratifying the Constitution would be the best possible solution for our nation. For this reason, I am supporting and voting for John Adams, James Madison, and George Washington. John Adams convinced me that “unity, peace, and religious freedom” will prosper with the introduction of the Constitution; he persuasively argued that this unity will finally relieve the tensions between states. Because I strongly believe in peacemaking and in religious freedom, I am compelled to think that ratifying this new document would help to improve our nation greatly‒both
No innocent people like the Japanese Americans should have been punished or looked as bad people because of their ancestry. The bombing of Pearl Harbor caused the U.S. to fear the Japanese Americans, so they placed them in internment camps. Japanese Americans shouldn’t of been punished because most of them were born and raised on the West Coast. The condition of the camps were often not pleasant. Japanese Americans were viewed as alien and untrustworthy, and isolated from others.
“... O say does that star spangled banner yet wave, o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Nearly every American can recite the final lines of our National Anthem. However, few take the time to truly contemplate the meaning of these words. When I hear these phrases, I think of the principles on which our country was founded: the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. But perhaps more important than these rights are the defenders of them: our veterans.
When citizens of the United States stare up at their national flag - the 13 stripes and the 50 stars that represent the freedom their ancestors fought tooth and nail for - they probably fail to remember the lessons they were taught in school about the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and the world wars. In these wars, men fought for their country’s freedom, tossing their own life behind them. Should the country that is being protected by brave men and women ignore their efforts and their struggles? No, and if they were to, they would have to hold no pride for their country, and even less for the struggles of their ancestors. One way America honors veterans is Veteran’s Day.
Dogs are a common and unique animal. They are full of energy, comforting and easy to get along with. However dogs can be a huge responsibility. Dogs require attention, care and time. Regardless if a dog park should be built or not their will be a price to be paid by both dog owners and non-owners.
A service dog is a type of assistance dog specifically trained to help people who have disabilities. These dogs have helped people for a very long time, but having service dog isn’t perfect. Imagine you are a dog trained to help a disabled person. Would it feel good or bad? Dogs are still dogs, no matter how much they are trained.
Revolutionary War Essay By: Devin O’Neill I believe that the colonists should be held responsible for firing the first shot of the revolutionary war. I settled my opinion on this, because the colonists were the angriest prior to the battle between the two groups. The British had been dominating, and left the colonists to suffer. It gives the Colonists a reason to fire first.
The terrorist attacks on 9/11 have caused many debates over the years since they occurred back in 2001. Two American planes were hijacked and ran into the twin tower buildings, another was hijacked and headed for the pentagon, but thankfully never made it. Thousands of Americans lost their lives on the days of the attacks and to this day the sorrow hangs with us. Security was a huge debate of the time because America is supposed to be the safest nation there is, so how did this happen? America had lots of changes to make the attacks on September 11, 2001.
Pet Bereavement The relationship between people and animals has changed in the last 50 years. Animals who live with people have traditionally been called ‘pets’. They now tend to be referred to as ‘companion animals’. This change in terminology implies a mutual relationship between humans and animals which has been described as the ‘human-animal bond’.
Owning a dog can actually have a special impact in our lives. Firstly, my dogs have changed my life in a couple of ways because at first, I didn’t care about them, all I had in mind was
