A flurry of rain pattered against the window. Jen blankly stared outside, watching the trees dance in the soft wind. Her eyes were heavy and she could barely sit up straight. The pitter-pattering of the rain almost lulled her to sleep. After a long, solid hour of staring at the rain, she got up and padded towards her bed. She lay down and pulled the sheets up to her neck before falling into deep sleep.
She glided across the darkness of space, twinkling stars swimming past her in swarms. Every once and a while bright streaks would pass across the sky, and Jen would stare in awe. "What a charming place," her voice echoed. Suddenly, she could sense someone behind her, and by this, she wheeled her head around in fear. There was a magnificent creature, …show more content…

Jen stared at the silver stone as it shimmered like the stars. "What do I do when I wake up?"
Akila thought to herself and said, "Meet me in your yard."
She nodded and gasped as the image around her began to blur.
"You are waking up," echoed the voice of Akila. "Don't forget,"

Remembering, she changed into warm clothes, got her jacket, and quietly walked out the door into her yard. All was quiet, and she heard the birds singing their morning song. The grass was wet with dew and soaked her socks. Akila wasn't
