“Frankenstein; Or, the Modern Prometheus” is the award-winning novel by Mary Shelley that took place in Geneva, Switzerland sometime in the 18th century. The story follows the life of a boy named Victor Frankenstein who aspires to be a great scientist that experiments with bringing the dead back to life. In this story Victor Frankenstein uses his knowledge to create this “monster.” When Victor sees what he has created, he runs in fear from the hideous appearance of the monster. The monster is not evil, at first. When he and the creature meet again, the creature shares his sad story with Victor. Victor chooses not to help the creature; he only focuses on his own issues.

It all started when Elizabeth came down with scarlet fever, and Victor’s mother helped care for her and got scarlet fever as well. Soon after she passed away, on her death bed she made Victor and Elizabeth promise to marry one day. After everything with the monster went on Victor got news from home that his younger brother William was murdered. On Victor’s way back to school he stays with his good friend Henry and soon after he leaves Henry is killed and Victor is blamed for it, Victor knows the monster did it he was put in jail until found innocent. And lastly, on his wedding night with Elizabeth he knew the monster was coming and tried to configure a plan to kill the monster, but, of course, it didn’t work and Elizabeth was found dead.
