The question of whether the creature in Mary Shelley's novel "Frankenstein" is human or not is an obvious question. Throughout the novel, the creature's actions can be a bit questionable by both himself and those around him. Those around him believe that he is a monster. But however, if you were to see the other side of him, you would think otherwise. The creature has many qualities that are similar to humans, despite his monstrous appearance.In my opinion what matters is what's on the inside so even if he may look like a monster but from inside he is just a regular human being looking for companionship. These are qualities that most regular humans have. We eat, sleep, and sometimes we are happy, and sometimes we are sad. So when the monster has feelings like regular humans, he might just actually be one since whatever we do he does. Just because he looks a certain way doesn't mean that he can't be human. Another reason I believe that the creature in Frankenstein was human is because he had five senses, like all of us human beings do. He could feel, touch, hear, smell, and taste different things. And again, all these qualities he has are similar to us which proves he is like us humans. According to the images on page 96, it shows him eating the family's food, then actually crying because he felt bad. This proves that just because he looks like a monster doesn't mean he is one. If someone eats drinks and sleeps just like us, then he is like us, humans. Lastly, I believe that Frankenstein is human because he reads, writes, and speaks. According to the images on page 101, it shows the creature reading books. He learned to read, write, and speak. When he speaks, it shows that he was a human. When he reads, it shows that he was a smart human because he read. This also proves to everyone he was human and
