In Gris Grimly's Frankenstein, Victor dies at the end of the book because of all the stress and unhappiness that a creature he birthed in his laboratory caused him. This creature had a big impact on Victor's life and went on to do good and terrible things. For several reasons, I believe Victor Frankenstein's creature is human. The creature is human because he has feelings and emotions, just like a regular person. In his second encounter with Victor, the creature says that his "soul glowed with love and humanity" (Frankenstein,83). The creature defends himself and says that when he first was made, he was kind, compassionate, he showed any characteristic of a normal human. But, all humans were created different and beautiful in their own ways. The outer appearance of any human, does not mean they don't have human-like personalities. Therefore, the creature has every right to be called human because everyone looks different. Another thing they may say is that the creature has killed a lot of people, which doesn't make him human. However, there are tons of humans today that kill each other, and it is still a problem. People still murder each other today. Therefore, the creature killing others is just as normal as the world today. Overall, the creature is every bit human regardless of his outer appearance, his height, or his
