In Frankenstein, it is often said that Frankenstein’s creature is human because of his human-like feelings. This is not true. The answer is actually the opposite, for multiple reasons. Frankenstein’s creature is not human, as the creature was created in a lab and has too many differences.

First of all, the creature looks nothing like a human. Its features are very different than a humans features. For example, when you see a certain animal, you can tell that it's a certain species and be able to pick it apart from other animals. This is the same with Frankenstein’s creature, if you were to look at it, you would be able to tell the creature isn't a human. Victor mentions that the creature’s “eyes, if eyes they may be called, were fixed on me,” (Victor, 44). This quote shows that the creature's eyes are different than a humans. The creature appears to be violent and dangerous even when left alone. This behavior is shown on page 113. This is where the creature said that he would not hurt William, but then lost control when he realized William was related to William. William didnt do anything to cause the creature to act out like that. The creature intended to “carry despair to him, and a thousand other miseries shall destroy him,” (page 113), ‘him’ being Victor. Many more deaths happened due to the creature's actions. Killing innocent people who had nothing to do with his creation is not a humanly act, the creature was truly crazy. The only reason Victor hated the creature was because the creature was a murderer, and Victor would’ve most likely reasoned with the creature if he hadn’t killed a relative. Eventually, the creature “snatched…every hope of future happiness,” (page 187), from Victor. These actions didn't help the creature in any way, all it did was make Victor's life miserable. In conclusion, the creature's actions of killing innocent people show as a reason to why the creature is not a
