The author uses direct speech to show sorrow for the monster through Frankenstein’s behaviour in act one when Frankenstein’s monster was coming to life as a pure and innocent creature.Frankenstein claims that he was making an angle not a demon but then as the monster comes to life he states “But you're not what I thought you’d be….I thought I was making an angle!....everyone would love it- and look at you.” Page 26 Act 1.
