According to the materiel Of The People, Frederick Douglass was born as Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey in Talbo Country, Maryland, in 1818. He was born into slavery and at the age of seven he was sent to Baltimore and became a ship caulker. He hired out his labor, paying his master three dollars a week and keeping the rest for himself per their agreement. Frederick planned his escape when his master told him to pay him all his earnings rather that just the three dollars a week. After he escaped to the north he started attending and speaking at antislavery meetings.
Fredrick Douglass was born Fredrick Augustus Washington Bailey, in Maryland in 1818 to Harriet Bailey. There were two mysteries surrounding Fredrick’s early life: one, the actual date of his birth and two, the identity of his father. Even though his father has not been confirmed, it is believed that Douglass’ father was Harriet’s slave master. At the very tender age of ten, Douglass’ mother died suddenly. Shortly after her death, Fredrick was sold to Hugh Auld, where he began working on his plantation.

He was born to a woman slave and a white man. He was raised primarily by his relatives and only occasionally met his mother, who died when he was a young boy. He never met his father, but knew only that he was a white man. During this time, he witnessed the first-hand horrors and mistreatment of slaves and spent many days hungry and cold. Shortly after the death of his mother, Douglass was sent to live with a man in Baltimore and his life became relatively normal for several years.
Frederick Douglass threw light on the American slave system in many different ways. He used his experience as a slave and used the encounters of other slaves. He showed how the american slave system was cruel to slaves and how it affected the slaves. The American slave system affected slaves by the masters treating them cruelly and how they weren't treated equally. The aspects Douglass brings to light are the condition of being educated, the condition of family, the condition of slaves.
The abolitionist movement was a social and political push for the direct liberation of all slaves and the termination of racial discrimination and segregation that started during the 1830s and continued on until the 1870s. During the abolitionist movement there were various major figures that played a huge role in the movement such as David Walker whose Appeal created a path for future Abolitionists and encouraged the movement. William Lloyd Garrison whose publication of an anti-slavery newspaper The Liberator was considered the formal start of the abolitionist movement. However, of all the individuals that played their part in the Abolition Movment in the United States I believe that the individual that had the greatest impact during the movement
Frederick Douglass was born on june 26, 1818 and died on july 1895.Douglass spent seven relatively comfortable years in Baltimore before being sent back to the country, where he was hired out to a farm run by a brutal "slavebreaker". And the treatment he received was indeed brutal. Whipped daily and barely fed, Douglass was broken in body, soul, and spirit. Frederick Douglass then became a escaped slave who became a prominent activist. Douglass would continue to gave speeches for the rest of his life and would become a leading spokesperson for the abolition of slavery and for racial equality.

There are many people who lost their lives to slavery and some risked their lives to end slavery.
Historically and scientifically, surviving and competing is human nature, but to deprive it of one another is immoral. The bullying behavior derives from extremely self-centered individuals, and it is easily influenced and adaptive because people are self-preserved, which can lead to hindering others to survive. The immoral behavior is a nationwide problem, and in order for the matter to be resolved, it must start at home [America]. The Americans forcibly took Africans from their homeland for free labor and trained them in the most horrible way to obey.
