The Revolution took place in France between 1787 and 1799 and first climaxed in 1789. [click] In the beginning, everything was running very smoothly in France, but over time, the civilians became aware of their true value. The revolution started in 1787 and came to an end in 1799. It was marked by many mass extinctions and violent outbreaks. During this time, many people were executed, and the main way of executing was the guillotine. [Click] The guillotine was claimed to be a “painless” and effective way to execute. The Public Safety Committee was responsible for performing many of these executions. Out of the committee, [click] Maximilien Robespierre [click], one of their leaders, was one of the most influential of the very powerful group, making him very powerful and influential. Before the Revolution, [click] Catholicism was the original religion, making the churches very powerful. In attempt to overrule churches and Catholicism, [click] the Public Safety Committee renamed, destroyed and changed religious monuments and buildings. At the end of the Revolution, national state’s power was increased and unified. The main goal of the revolution; to solve class inequalities, unfortunately, wasn’t solved. France gave way to [click] Napoleon Bonaparte [click], who created “Code of Napoleon” which made the legal system equal to everyone regardless of socioeconomic status. In conclusion, revolting of a few had turned into a nationwide revolution that changed the face of the country forever.
