Friedrich Nietzsche is known for his criticisms of European moral obligations that are traditional in a sense, as well as, Christian foundations. His critique encompasses a wide-range as it aims to undermine central aspects of ordinary moral consciousness like guilt for wrongdoing, moral responsibility and the demand for equal consideration of all persons. Nietzsche doubts that that the viability of moral life is not offered in anticipation to the promised liberation of life after death. He instead, launches a paradox declaration that “God is dead” (The Gay Science108; 125; 3430).

There are interests over the positive values Nietzsche tries to promote, there are a few values that can play an indisputable significant part in Nietzsche’s sense of what matters in life. Firstly, is Power and life. There is an insistence on the importance of power claiming that all creatures inherently aim to enhance their power and that it is good for us to try and aim to do so because it can be used as a tendency toward growth, strength and domination.
Second, is affirmation. This is prominent in the works of Nietzsche as he regards affirmation of life as a defining achievement philosophically. I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation.
