The Fulton County Jail is located in Atlanta, Georgia and it was part of season 3 in the 60 days in show from A&E. This jail was established in 1898 but it was abandoned in 1960 and it was rebuilt in 1962. The number of inmates housed in this jail is about 2,704 and are mostly males. Most of the inmates that have been there are aged from 25 to 34. The current sheriffs name is Theodore Jackson. The Jails mission statement is to maintain the Fulton County Jail, provide services that are needed and directed by the court system, provide support and educational services to the community as a method of preventing and reducing crime, and enforce federal and state law. This jail also has a GED program and a mental health program.

The number one problem in this show is getting the inmates to trust the new people because it is hard to do. Many of the volunteers screw up their story and make the inmates suspicious. Making the inmates suspicious that they are not who they say they are is very dangerous. The volunteers can get seriously hurt if the inmates do not trust them. Another problem is that some volunteers are taken advantage of by the inmates and they are seen as a weak easy target. Also, if you show in jail that you have money and buy a lot of food in commissary you will become a target. Inmates are going to start stealing food and are going to take advantage of you. Another problem in the show that they do not have any more was that they did not tell the volunteers about the other volunteers in the jail. The volunteers that are doing the 60 days in are very brave for doing it but I feel like they should be protected a little bit more. They need to be protected
