While now Blacks are Mocked and wanted to be like in a disrespectful way.
Wake up From the Night Wake up From the Night Cruelty surrounds the world constantly, and frequently appears in works of literature to reveal certain things about the theme. In the novel Night by Elie Wiesel, these acts of cruelty express and enhance the theme. One of the large themes revealed by these acts is “man’s inhumanity to man,” which includes the mistreatment of Jews by the Nazis, the common people, and other Jews. Watching the large amounts of violence, abuse, and discrimination that occur in this memoir show us the horrors of the Holocaust and how it transformed the men and women who experienced it, as well as those who caused it.
Martin Luther King once said “I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character”. Racism is the intentional act of antagonism against someone of a different race/culture based on the belief that one’s own race is more superior. This problem is major in the society today, it doesn’t matter if you’re black, Caucasian or Asian it can affect you. Racism is such a big issue that it has made it has made it into many films some being; Remember the Titans (2000) and The Boy in Striped Pyjamas (2008). These films are all thriving for one outcome and that is to change the minds of all citizens about racism and end discrimination.
Using social media is an effective way to keep up with your family and friends, as touched on in “Could You Become a Mean Meme?” by Kristin Lewis and Jane Porter. It’s absolutely remarkable how well we can keep in contact with people today using the power of the internet. Of course, like anything good, using social media has its drawbacks, some of which are quite alarming to think about. However, there is no need to fret!

One of the first examples listed by James Gleick is “survival of the fittest” (Mauk 186). The next example and the easiest to explain why it's a meme, is hula hoops. It started off with one person, then more and more started doing it. Memes have rhyme and rhythm.
The Disease of Being Colored Colored, nigger, African American, black, coon, and Negro are all the words that describe my race. These are the words that helped mold me into the woman that I am today. Not all of the words that I have listed are in a respectful manner, but they all mean one thing; A black person. Although all of those names can be thrown towards anyone of the African decedent, often times people do not care to see behind the skin of an individual. In hindsight everyone looks alike when the lights are off, and when we are even dead and buried in the ground.
African Americans feel targeted in today’s society because so many innocent African Americans are being incarcerated, shot, and killed. Since 2001, it is 6.1 times likelier to be incarcerated as a black man than a white man. This is all because of skin color. Black Lives Matter (BLM) was a group created to raise awareness for the heinous acts the have presented itself to the black community
However if I hear someone saying nigger to demean, it would make me incredibly uncomfortable and offended. The word nigger needs to be used today. If people stop using it, its oppressive past will be forgotten and neglected which is ignoring the problem. There is still lots of subconscious racism in our society and the solution to fixing that problem is not ignoring race, it is acknowledging that race exist and then realizing that it does not matter.

The Breakfast Club is not in fact a movie about bacon 'n eggs. It’s a coming of age film about five coincidentally different teenagers all linked together by one common element, Saturday detention. At first, they are all close-minded and judgmental of each other until coming to realize they may be from different circles of friends but are not so different in the end. This film is still remarkably relatable to this day. Everyone in this film is in his or her own societal bubbles, but come to understand they are all facing the same problems.
