Game of Thrones vs. Walking Dead Everybody has a few favorite TV shows that they always ask themselves, “Which show is better?” I can easily narrow it down to Game of Thrones and Walking Dead. There are many differences and similarities between these two shows including: the weapon of choice are different, they both have psychotic children, and they both have one-handed anti-heroes. One of the main differences between these two shows is they use different weapons. In the Walking Dead, there are a variety of weapons used, but most of them are modern. Almost every single child in Westeros and the world of The Walking Dead is insane. They 've all been warped by the world they 're living in, causing them to lose grip of reality and spark some incredibly dangerous situations. Joffrey was the most obvious child psychopath in Thrones, waving his crossbow around at anyone he saw, dishing out the big talk, but when confronted with a major problem head-on, the Boy King simply couldn 't deal with it. That 's a similar attitude to Ron in The Walking Dead. He 's pointing his gun at Carl, firing verbal shots at him, threatening his life, but the second Carl fights back, he 's instantly on the back foot. Another similarity is both shows have one-handed anti-heroes. In The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, it 's actually uncanny as to how similar Merle and Jaime Lannister 's injuries and personalities actually are. They both lost their right hand, they both gained metal replacements, and they both use their new 'attachment ' in combat. As if that wasn 't already enough, the characters themselves match up. They 're both villainous, and appear to be the main antagonist after their Pilot episodes, though over time, Merle and Jaime gradually begin to redeem themselves and could even be considered heroes in
