There are outlaws trying to kill everyone they come across, and a rancher trying to start a war with Chet by running his herd on Chet's land. Fans of the book liked that the book is not just simply a romance novel masquerading as a western novel. Plenty of entertainment and action; giving readers a taste of what it was like to live in those times out on the frontier.
It can feel a little like readers are left in the dark, the characters know more than you do. The role of the reader is really just a fly on the wall, observing the discussion of topics that are not given enough context to understand in full. This burning curiosity and naivety experienced by the reader are shared by another character in the book, one who could very well represent these feelings, Riri. Story is not finished when

Authors Clifford Stoll, Gary Small and Gigi Vorgan give their opinions on how unfavorable the Internet really is. The decline in real world interaction forces people to become isolated and form social weak ties. This then leads to addiction and giving a false sense of control to the people. I do agree with Stoll, Small and Vorgan’s opinion on the negative effects on the internet.
