The purpose of writing a testimonio is to provide real life experiences that are affected but gender, race, or ethnicity, and class. It provides a more personal and relatable account that can have a greater impact on the intended audience. The testimonio deals with the subjects of gender and sexuality. The experiences that are events within this testimonio can be explained by the frame work of Angela Davis, and Simone de Beauvoir. The testimonio mention that the individual viewed the field work to be equalizing since the only thing that mattered was getting the task one. In a way, it true that this can be preserved as equalizing, but it is not. It is subjugating the entire ethnicity group. De Beauvoir brings up the concepts of the 'eternal feminine' and 'the lost women' which refers to the term women is created through the environment of a female and that restricts them (2011, 3). The individual writing is being limited thought the clothing that she can wear and behavior she can engage in. She states that she must cover up through this context it can be understood that if she does not comply then she will be considered lost 'women'. This is because the modesty is the feminine behavior and not being engaging in it makes her less women.
