Women constantly get ridiculed for wanting to play American Football. Due to women being both excluded and discriminated from men’s sports, women were forced to take action and organize their own version of the sport. The world has added professional Women’s American Football and some states are including girl Football teams in lower grades such as 5-6 grade. Now it is time for there to be a high school Ladies Football team.
Back in 1994, The NCAA adopted the recommendations of the Gender-Equity Task Force. Gender equality has always been a struggle for women when it comes to men’s athletics and activities that people label as a “Man thing.” On May 23, 2015 a female group of Fifth-Sixth graders in West Jordan, Utah approached the field to play tackle football. It launched the first known girls tackle football league in America. Sam Gordon, the Utah girl wonder, became a sensation in 2012 when a video of her out running boys on the field was published by her father, Brent. The WFA allowed new teams to blossom in cities all across the nation, minimizing travel for all teams while maximizing the national exposure for their unique business. They continue to support the growth of women’s tackle football league in the world, and longstanding franchises in women’s football history. From 2011 through 2013, the number of WFA players on the U.S. National Team escalated from zero percent to 96 percent. The numbers shall slowly increase over time; however, may skyrocket if Women’s Tackle Football was accumulated with high school athletics. Female high school athletes are 41% more likely to graduate from college within six years compared to female high school students who did not participate in sports
