As a reader one has to know what to look for and identify the main idea and understand what the author is trying to argue. Before taking Writing 10 I felt I was a good reader and able to identify the main idea in a prompt, but little did I really know. After going through the research process and trying to identify reliable sources I have essentially cut out the unnecessary information and I go straight to the idea or argument being made by the author. As of before, I would focus on every detail of the writing. Having been assigned readings and having discussions about the readings during class, I soon realized that writing is about an argument being made with supporting evidence.

It is a very conservative state that holds to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion. During the Civil War, William Mason Grosvenor had commanded the first unit of blacks soldiers to battle for the North. From a firsthand reconstruction perspective, he saw the state and local governments being lenient towards accepting incoming state governments, such as Louisiana, that made little change in the political and economic status of blacks after the abolition of slavery. He also issued the abeyance theory of reconstruction. According to Grosvenor, the North should enforced their laws onto the South where punishing treason would straighten the “rebels” from being destructive to America and if the Confederates states continues to follow their constitution then America wouldn’t bind into one whole nation. Rebels treason because they feel hopeless.

Twelfth Night Research Project: The Letter Trick Part One: Suzanne Penuel described a great underlying influence of Shakespeare’s text, Twelfth Night by drawing multiple connections between various conversation and overlapping themes in her essay, “Missing Fathers: Twelfth Night and the Reformation of Mourning.” Many implications tied to the role of fatherhood were explored including rank (social status), procreation and a necessity for a man to be included for life to be physically reproduced, morality and its biological relationship to genetic implications of such a trait to be inherited, maturing and developing relationally (both when and how), the connection between paternal figures in a familial aspect and religious (specifically in regards to mournig), and the influence on various relationships as a father’s role (or absence) is a determining factor of developing a worldview. The main argument was Shakespeare’s

Nevertheless, liberal arts education should be encouraged to be pursued at higher education institutions in USA because it helps
Within the criminal justice system there are several stakeholders such as law enforcement officials, prosecutors, juries and judges who play a critical role in the processes which are intricate to the justice system. These systems serve as a pendulum to balance the scale of justice so that no one side is unequal to the laws that are applied. Within this intricate system there are multiple steps that occur when processing felony charge(s) cases. These steps include the investigation, the arrest, arraignment, trial, sentence, and appeals (Nichols, n.d). Unfortunately, most school systems depict this quote. They judge a significant amount of the population by their ability to answer a few questions. They rate them with letters and numbers, and force students to be represented by these letters and numbers for the rest of their lives.
