Genocides were around for 150 years and millions of people were killed, tortured, and separated from their families due to a genocide. A genocide is the massive killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation. The Holocaust is an example of a genocide that happened in 1933-1945. During this genocide, the Nazi party and Adolf Hitler wanted to get rid of all Jews either by killing them in a gas chamber, working them to death, getting them into groups and killing all of them at once. During this genocide around 6 million jews and millions of others were killed. The US have the power and the supplies to overcome the perpetrators of any genocide. Our country is the most powerful country in the world based on features like economy, military and technology. The United States Armed Forces have a bigger advantage to stopping a genocide and protect the people that are in a genocide war zone. Having the most powerful army in the world and being one of the most richest country in the world with more than $120 trillion dollars, the military have access to bigger and more forceful weapons. During the Iraq War, the United States Army cut off the supplies of the Iranian Army because the United States Army had the money to buy the equipment needed to lower the supplies of the Iranian Army. Therefore, there is no reason why the United States can’t stop a genocide if they have all the money to get better supplies and the power to stop any …show more content…

People that are currently in a genocide war zone are living in fear, fear of being killed, tortured, or fear of losing everything they have. As the genocide goes by people would have seen the murders of children and families, bombings in villages, people getting separated from their families, and so much more. As a result of this many people can be haunted by memories or be traumatized for years. By sending the US troops to a region in this situation they can protect and guard the innocent people and the US troops can also provided medical aid to the injured and provided food and shelter to those who have none. Today, the US army helps people by giving them food and shelter after any major natural disaster for example the US arm provided supplies to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Also, the US army currently protects the borders of the country to protect citizens from any attacks. If the US military can also do this in other countries that are in a current genocide then the people of that region would feel safer and they would finally know that someone is there to protect them not kill them.
