Ponder this, if every human in the world was thinking alike, how would the world be this evolved as it is in this day in age? What if one person thinking differently lead to the world constantly changing? Without unique ideas, would all of mankind still be living in caves? “If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn’t thinking,” is a quote stated by George S. Patton (“George S. Patton began his military career leading cavalry troops against Mexican forces and became the first officer assigned to the new U.S. Army Tank Corps during World War I (“George S. Patton”). The phrase, “think outside the box,” was a commonly known phrase by all of General Patton’s troops (“George S. Patton”). Patton led his troops to war using this phrase as a guide line, and saying that, “any idea of attack is better than no idea of attack,” (“George S. Patton”). General George S. Patton was a great general and had many victories during his years of service. Patton’s quote, “If everyone is thinking alike then someone isn’t thinking,” would most likely relate to a group of bullies in today’s modern society (“George S. Patton Quotations”). One kid persuades a bunch of other kids to think the same way as he does, and then persuades them that they are being cool by picking on the “weird” kid. By having every kid in the group thinking the same as the leader, not one bully is thinking that bullying the innocent kid is wrong. Another example of Patton’s quote would relate best to teenagers in general, in today’s modern society. In this century, teenagers follow one leader in a group and they do not think diversely. Instead, the teens think the exact same, so no new or unique ideas are being
