Over the course of 228 years, the United States of America has had 45 presidents serving terms ranging from 4 to 8 years. As President, there are many duties that are found in the constitution but with an ever-changing modern society and technology, these roles and duties have expanded and changed to accommodate these new ideologies. In October 1994, under the administration of former president William J. Clinton, the white house website (whitehouse.gov) was created to be a hub of information about the current government. It contains information about the current president, the vice president, their families, proclamations, top issues, executive orders, and in some cases speeches by white house officials. Bush was born in July 6,1946 in New Haven, Connecticut and was a businessman and served as governor of Texas before he became the 43rd president and was inaugurated twice as president from 2001-2009 serving a total of 2 terms. During his presidential campaign, he mainly pledged to increase defence spending, simplify the income tax system, and to reduce the number of people without health insurance (Oliver). His first term in office was dominated by the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack that resulted in the deaths of nearly 3000 people (History). In response to this attack, Bush solely focused on the defense of America and the overthrowing of the terrorist group that was responsible for the attacks, Al-Qaeda, and eliminating their leader, Osama Bin Laden. This major historical impact caused for a shift within the whitehouse.gov website. On July 13, 2001, the website was focused on the President Bush’s unveiling of the new Medicare Initiative, Improving the Patient’s Bill of Rights, Signing of the Tax Cut Bill, and discussion about the National Energy Policy (as seen in Figure 1). This focus was more articulated towards fulfilling his campaign promises. However, after the attack that focus changed significantly to focusing solely on the defence of America and the war on terror. Trump was born on June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York, and was a New York City real estate developer and Reality TV star before becoming the 45th and current president. He was inaugurated for the first time as president on January 20, 2017 and is still within his first term. Before becoming president, Trump would harness rumours about Obama’s birthplace to increase his audience on social media and gain recognition as the “truth” in a world of conservative politics. (Donald Trump) . In his presidential campaign, Trump made a pledge to “Make America Great Again” and promised to cut taxes, renegotiate trade deals, job creation, and revamp medical care. Nowadays, during his term, Donald Trump has consistently changed the website but the front page remains static. Even pages like “What’s Happening” to provide live updates of the whereabouts of the President doesn’t seem to address issues that Trump does not support. For example, On January 21, 2017, was the largest Women’s march (at least 3.3 million people) organized to advocate issues like women’s rights, immigration reform, and LGBTQ rights. With an event, as significant as this Trump would have spoken out, or at least changed his website in a way to address this. However, of significance that day according to his website are statements about the military as well as rumours about the inauguration day (Figure 12). Upon further investigation, to this day, a “women’s march” search reveals zero finding about the event
